Africa Fest 2022 is here, and the lineup is exciting.

Our performance lineup includesDiali Cissokho and Kaira Ba, Black Umfolosi, a self-taught Acapella (Imbube) group, performance poetry by Cj Suitt, and Focus Group, an Atilogwu (Igbo) dance troupe based in Atlanta, Zankiliwa, and DJ Bello!

Africa Fest is a celebration of African culture, art, and history. This family event offers our Carolina community an annual opportunity immersive opportunity to engage with the rich contemporary cultures of the continent.

Workshop for kids happening at the same time in the same building! This is an opportunity to engage school-age kids chaperoned by their parents during Africa Fest to work on a simple art piece. This piece allows the children to engage with content from the continent and leave with an Africa fest and Africa-inspired memorabilia.

Yaag Sii Tenn, a Senegalese cuisine food truck, will be there! And you can preorder your food and avoid the wait here.

The cultural celebration continues at 8 PM with an Ethio-Jazz performance by Meklit; organized by Carolina Performing Arts, and supported by ASC. ASC has free tickets for this show and will hand them out during Africa Fest. Volunteers will be prioritized. Please consider signing up here.
